Do not install the monitor in direct sunlight.
We suggest that the rear camera should be mounted as high and centered as possible.
Tighten the camera cable connectors finger tight, and then tighten another 1/2 turn with two wrenches. This will cause the seals to compress and become water tight.
Connect the red trigger wire to a power source that is hot only when vehicle is started. (Note: DO NOT CONNECT TO THE SAME POWER SOURCE AS THE RADIO.)
Connect the green trigger wire to a power source that is hot only when the vehicle is in reverse. (i.e. Back-up lights or back-up beeper) This will cause the rear camera to turn on automatically when vehicle is placed in reverse. NEVER CONNECT THE GREEN TRIGGER WIRE TO THE RED TRIGGER WIRE. DOING SO WILL CAUSE THE MONITOR TO ASSUME THE VEHICLE IS IN REVERSE. THIS WILL CAUSE ALL MONITOR BUTTONS TO LOCK AND THE MONITOR WILL ONLY DISPLAY THE REAR CAMERA.
Black wire should be grounded to the chassis.
The camera system will now turn on automatically when placed in reverse.
If desired, the camera system can turn on automatically when the vehicle is started. Go to the menu option on the monitor, select (Auto-On), and turn it to the (On) position. Also, the monitor can be turned on manually by pressing the power button.
WIRING SIDE CAMERAS FOR AUTOMATIC ACTIVATION: The camera two input is used for the right side camera. Connect the white trigger wire to FRONT turn signal wire. (DO NOT CONNECT TO REAR SIGNAL WIRES AS THEY ARE ALSO USED AS BRAKE LIGHTS). The camera three input is used for the left side camera. Connect the blue wire to the FRONT turn signal wire. The side camera will now come on automatically when the turn signals are engaged.
